Terms and Conditions for Mental Health Counselling Services

1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the mental health counselling services provided by Mark Gaff Counselling and Therapy. By engaging in these services, clients agree to comply with the terms outlined below.

2. Scope of Services

Counselling services include but are not limited to:

• Individual therapy sessions
• Men's Mental Health Therapy
• Couples and family therapy
• Crisis intervention
• Mental health assessments

3. Confidentiality

• All client information is confidential and protected, in accordance with relevant privacy laws.
• Exceptions to confidentiality include cases where there is a risk of harm to self or others, or when legally required.

4. Fees & Payment

• Fees for counselling services are $100.00 per session + 10%GST, unless previous negotiated with MGC.
• Payments must be made prior to session, unless previously negotiated with proprietor.
• Cancellations will incur a cancellation fee of 50% if not advised 2 days prior.

5. Appointment Cancellations & Rescheduling

• Clients must provide at least 2days notice for cancellations.
• Missed appointments without notice may be subject to a fee of 100%

6. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

• Be on time for sessions.
• Communicate honestly and openly.
• Follow recommendations in their best interest.

7. Limitation of Liability

The counsellor provides services based on professional expertise and best practices. However, the counsellor is not liable for decisions or actions taken by the client outside sessions.

8. Termination of Services

The counsellor reserves the right to discontinue services due to non-compliance, inappropriate behavior, or other reasons deemed necessary.
